Official announcement from TMC Transformers: Power Transformers Ritz

Through its German office based in Frankfurt, TMC Transformers S.p.A., a leading manufacturer of medium- and low-voltage dry type transformers and reactors for special applications such as drives, railway rolling stock, offshore, mining, renewable energy, and oil & gas, through its German office, based in Frankfurt, announces the acquisition of the Power Transformers division of RITZ instrument transformers GmbH.

This important strategic investment will enable TMC to:

• expand its range of special transformers;
• meet the demands of rapidly-growing markets and applications.

In addition to the know-how and different technologies transferred from RITZ, bringing strong benefits to the company and its customers, TMC has also signed a cooperation and commercial agreement with RITZ Group.

This strategic partnership will strengthen the business and expertise of TMC Transformers, expanding the company’s global influence and presence and enlarging its product portfolio.

The acquisition of RITZ follows those of Marnate Trasformatoriand Officine Tironi, and the imminent opening of the new plant TMC Low Voltage plant in Fabro.

RITZ is a global market leader in Instrument Transformers, Cast Resin Applications, Cast Resin Insulated Busbar Systems, and Cast Resin Insulated Power Transformers. It runs no fewer than seven production facilities across Europe, China, and the United States.

Its customers include blue chip companies from the fields of energy and electronics from all corners of the globe.

Ritz Transformers technology, which includes the extensive use of fibreglass insulation, class H resin systems, specialty conductors, and UL certification, combined with TMC’s existing experience and expertise, will ensure technologically advanced solutions, especially for all installations exposed to very polluted environmental conditions.
