Shaping the future of digital infrastructure: TMC at Datacloud Global Congress

, focusing on the 2023 data gathered from its headquarters and production site in Busto Arsizio, Italy.

The analysis for the year 2023, following the same methodology as before, examined consumption, calculated CO2 emissions in tons, and juxtaposed these findings with TMC's turnover.

The emissions were scrutinized across three scopes:

: direct emissions from fossil fuel combustion within the facility and vehicle usage, alongside refrigerant gas leakage.

: Indirect emissions from the procurement of electricity and heat/cooling.

: Indirect emissions from the procurement of goods and services.

After analyzing the points aforementioned, we found that 

our carbon footprint intensity decreased by -74% per unit of sales between 2019 and 2023.

This reduction is a significant milestone for TMC, and we are proud of our efforts. 

We remain committed to ongoing carbon footprint reduction through the adoption of sustainable practices and the implementation of responsible decision-making processes.

 with the target to collect data on the carbon footprint of production site in Busto Arsizio in Italy.

Two reference years were taken, 2019 and 2022, consumption was measured, CO2 TONs were calculated and everything was compared to TMC turnover.

The emissions analized for the project are:

Direct emissions resulting from combustion of fossil fuels within facility& vehicle usage, leakage of refrigerant gases

Indirect emissions resulting from purchasing of electricity and heat/cooling

Indirect emissions in value chain resulting form purchasing of goods and services

Considering the direct emission from combustion of fossil fuels, Indirect emissions resulting from purchasing of electricity and from the entire value chain:

we have determined that our carbon footprint intensity was reduced by -59% per unit of sales between 2019 and 2022.

We are so proud of this reduction that is an important achievement for TMC: we remain committed to reducing it as much as possible through sustainable practices and responsible decision-making.
