Official announcement from TMC Transformers: Intermagnetics acquisition

TMC Transformers S.p.A. is delighted to announce the acquisition of Intermagnetics srl from Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A.

Intermagnetics, established in 2006, designs and produces low voltage transformers and reactors for industrial applications in compliance with all technical safety, quality, environmental, and customer technical specifications.

TMC Transformers, a leading manufacturer of medium and low voltage dry type transformers and reactors for special applications such as drives, railway rolling stock, offshore, mining, renewable energy, and oil & gas, aims to reinforce its presence in the business of low voltage transformers and reactors.

This acquisition represents a strategic investment which will enable TMC to expand its portfolio of special transformers and complete its range, in addition to the know-how and different products acquired from Intermagnetics, that which will bring strong advantages to the company and its customers.

The acquisition of Intermagnetics follows those of Marnate Trasformatori, RITZ, and the opening of the new TMC Low Voltage plant in Fabro (TR) – Italy.
